In this fun class, we prepare a menu based on traditional tapas, with some innovative touches.

We cook Tortilla de patatas and other traditional tapas such as Madrid - style mushrooms, gildas (popular pintxos of olives and pickles), mussels in marinade and Gazpacho. Apart from the recipes, you will also learn about some of the most important condiments in Spanish cuisine.

We use fresh seasonal products from local producers. Classes are hands-on and all tasks are shared among participants, so you will get plenty of practice.

When we finish preparing, we will enjoy our tapas, accompanied by a few drinks and some good conversation.

Important: this class is suitable for vegetarians and the tapas are gluten-free.

I am a true Sevillana, although I have been living in Madrid for many years. I am passionate about food and cooking and I spend a lot of time learning about the porducts and ingredients we use. Moreover, I love transmitting this knowledge to our guests. My work at Escuela de Cocina Conversa has given me the opportunity to combine my twin passions. Escuela de Cocina Conversa

We have created a welcoming space where people can get together and improve their cooking skills. We offer classes for children, for local people as well as foreign visitors. Our space is divided into two parts, a cooking area, as well as a dining area where people can relax and enjoy the fruits of their culinary labour.

We are located in the traditional neighbourhood of Carabanchel Alto, which is well-connected by underground ( metro line 11) and blue city bus (line 35 from Plaza Mayor).
